DECEMBER 2022 Message from the PCHR President

I am Blythe Sadler Scott '95 President of the Princeton Club of Hampton Roads and the Commissioner of the Revenue for the City of Norfolk. Happy New Year to all of you and I am writing to ask that you consider a contribution to the PCHR as we close out the year of 2022 and look forward to the promise of 2023.

The Princeton Club of Hampton Roads is a volunteer organization and relies on the generous financial support of its members to help fund club activities.

PCHR organizes our 345+ area alumni to support the Alumni Schools Committee to recruit and interview applicants in the Fall and Winter. In the Spring, the club holds a post acceptance get-together for those admitted and their families. In the Summer, we organize a reception for new and returning students and their families.

Because so many in-person events had to be canceled or postponed during the pandemic, we have not made a formal request for membership fees since 2019. Now that we are once again able to host events, meetings, and get-togethers in person--like the recent admitted students reception graciously hosted by Catherine Byrd '05 and Peter Jeydel '06--it is time to replenish our coffers in anticipation of resuming our normal slate of activities and events, including more social gatherings and sporting events around Hampton Roads. In order to make this possible, we ask that you contribute your PCHR annual membership fee so that we can host these events in the coming year.

Our annual dues are as follows:

'17-'21 & Parents $30.00

'02-'16 $50.00

'01 & older $70.00

You may pay dues online: Click here

Or, via check payable to the Princeton Club of Hampton Roads care of our Treasurer, Andrew Bosse '05, 1051 Hanover Ave., Norfolk, VA 23508.

We are looking for new activities and events, so please contact me if you have ideas and time/energy to offer help. I will be sharing a SurveyMonkey in January for feedback on possible activities, but you can also email me directly.

Many thanks for your support and all of the best to you in 2023!
